2024 seamless aluminum tubing
is heavily utilized in aircraft applications due to good machining characteristics and higher strength than either 2014 or 2017. Cold formability is considered fair, yet it is one of the most popular alloys for high strength tubing requirements because of the superior grain structure that can be obtained.
